Senate probes SEC for
stonewalling
August 20, 2007 -
Here they go again! This time they are "circling
the wagons" around their insider buddies, and hiding
how they punished "whistleblowers" & then called
off investigations into some of the most corrupt, slimy,
greedy insider-trading, rip-offs that ever walked
the planet.
And these are the guys that are supposed to be
looking out for your interests? Come on,
people... isn't there something wrong with this
picture?
The defense lawyers for the slimeballs being
investigated put a little pressure on the SEC,
called in a few favors, and the SEC folded up
like a cheap suit (...which they weren't wearing, by the
way. I'm betting they had on some expensive
threads!).
And don't think that there aren't a
few Senators sharing drinks down at the
high-priced Washington bars with these noodniks after the
hearings, either. You'd be surprised (or maybe not... I
wasn't).
